The
Doyle Guide reports that there are two small but noisy places to
anchor in this busy harbor.
I see no reason to anchor here, but a swing through the
harbor is well worth the detour.
Holland America Volendam and
Celebrity Horizon in Castries Harbor
This
port usually has 2 or 3 large, and I mean large, cruise ships
tied up at various piers. It’s
hard to believe just how big these ships are until a trip
through the tight harbor demonstrates this fact completely. If you are motoring through while one is entering port, you
will have the opportunity to come up alongside.
Prepare to be overwhelmed.
