Sailing Experience: Skipper and owner of two J24s called Rasputin from 1979 to 1993.  Dominated the Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club racing scene in the early 1990s.  Numerous other successes in the local and regional J24 circuit.

Raced J105 Highlander from 1994 to 1998.  Irritated most of the competition there by cleaning up nearly everything.

Now living aboard PDQ36 Highlander in The Abacos.

Cruising Experience: Always the owner of the “performance” cruiser, Ted began his cruising career on the ever-comfortable J24.  He and his wife Retta sailed that boat everywhere around Lake Ontario and the Thousand Islands for over a decade.

When it came time for an upgrade, Ted selected the J105 as his next “performance” cruiser.  More Lake Ontario and the annual Thousand Islands trips.

Took delivery of PDQ36 catamaran Highlander in 1999 and cruised the usual Lake Ontario spots for a few years.

Began his odyssey from Toronto to the Caribbean in September 2001.  Journey took him across Lake Ontario, through the Oswego/Erie Canal, Hudson River, past the WTC ruins of Lower Manhattan, and on to the the magnificent Chesapeake, where he and Retta spent several weeks.  Then down the Intra-Coastal Waterway, and on to the Abacos, where they spent the winter of 2002.
