Known Aliases: Jules
Occupation: Log sailor
Age: 38
Sailing Experience: Julie never had a chance…when she was 6 months old, she enjoyed (?) her first sailboat experience from a small hammock in a Dragon – sail #69 no less!

Years passed, but with racing in her blood (not to mention Rum), she returned to sailing after a long absence, and has raced competitively for over 10 years.

Julie has survived Laser 28s with Weeeeeenton and J24s - the pointy end, so that the skipper couldn’t hear her in case she was calling tactics.

Then came the fateful day when she was asked to race on a Thunderbird many years ago… Once you go T-Bird you never go back!  Rattle Ya Dags has been her passion for 5 years now, and she looks forward to racing in the Internationals in 2001.

Julie also races her Laser, aptly called Single Malt, whenever she gets a chance, especially in light air as she drifts downwind passing the competition …one…by…one...

However, life changed dramatically on September 26, 2001 when she gave birth to her first child, a son, Garrett Alton.  She will now have to compete for her position on foredeck.

Cruising Experience: Who knows where her Parents took her, but she's been everywhere Lake Ontario might flow, all the way to Honey Harbor.

The Grenadines aboard The Usual Suspects.

Favorite
Anchorage:
The sandbar she hit in Little Current when she was 12.
Favorite Beverage: Single Malt Scotch.
Responsibilities aboard The Usual Suspects: That special tactical job of ensuring the anchor chain doesn’t get jammed in the winch when pulling up anchor, a true delight!

Ensuring David found his way to bed after drinking too many Rums with Rob.

Cruising Goals: To do this all over again, every year until she dies.
Cruising Motto: “Is it too early for a scotch?”
